Platform Engineer / SRE
Position Overview
QueryLift Platform Engineers / SREs design, build, and operate our service platform on AWS, creating an environment where development teams can deliver products safely and quickly.
They continuously improve development speed and service reliability through IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the service platform on AWS
- Improve IaC with Terraform and the container and deployment platform
- Improve monitoring and alerts, investigate and recover from incidents, and prevent recurrence
- Continuously improve security, performance, and cost
Requirements
- Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Experience designing and operating IaC with Terraform
- Basic understanding of Docker, ECS, networking, and databases
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, log management, and incident response
- Experience using AI agents to design, implement, and verify infrastructure changes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating multiple environments such as development, staging, and production
- Experience designing and improving cloud security using IAM, WAF, or similar services
- Experience standardizing and automating shared platforms and optimizing cost
Ideal Candidate
- Treats infrastructure as a product that supports development and the business, not merely an asset to manage
- Automates manual or person-dependent operations into reusable systems
- Works with application engineers to improve both development speed and reliability
